Posted below is an example of my daily routine. WARNING: This post is extremelly long and may not be exciting for some of you.
In the bedroom:
740am: Brandon and I woke up at the same time. I usually wake up earlier but last night, he cried twice in the middle of the night and I woke up to calm him down.
750am: Changed his diaper.
8am: Fed him milk and he drank 7oz. Burped him and laid him (on his back) on the bed for ~10 mins.
In the dining area:
810am: Brought him out to the dining area aka "his playground". Set him down in his activity center. I prepared and ate my breakfast (peanut butter strawberry sandiwch and a glass of 1% low fat milk) WHILE onlined with my wireless laptop at the dining area.
In the bedroom:
830am: Changed his diaper - pooped.
In the dining area:
840am: Put him back in the activity center while I continue my online. Chatted with my cousin, JoJo and then she got DC. I continued chatting with my brother in Adelaide, while showing him webcam video of Brandon. All the time Brandon was staring really hard at the webcam and walking around the table. After finishing the chat, I brushed teeth and washed face. Then put on moisturizer, combed hair and changed to day clothings.
In the living area:
925am: Brandon got tired, so I carried him for a while. Then I did the neck stretching while bouncing on a 55cm yoga ball and watching TVB series (Hok Keng Tong Sum, police cadet series - starring Miu Kiu Wai). He fell asleep.
In the dining area:
945am: Placed sleeping Brandon on his swing. I continue with my daily chores: folding bedsheets and towels (washed last Friday). Returned some business calls. Paid my Realtor MLS bills. Gathered up the SUPRA key and box (real estate equipments) (picture #1) for exchanging tomorrow at 1030am at Hilton.
1035am: Brandon woke up. Called his paternal grandmother to come over to see him (everyday when he wakes up). Put him back on his activity center. Fed him flouride supplement with water. Asked his grandma if she can take care of Brandon when I go to exchange the SUPRA equipment tomorrow, she said YES. Let him played with his grandma. While I continue to search about the new key system for SUPRA. Tried to call the customer service but line was busy.
In the kitchen area:
1050am: Washed Brandon's bottle (from the early morning feeding, was already rinse but couldn't wash it when he was sleeping as the tap noise MIGHT wake him up). Put away yesterday cleaned pots and dished. Searched the refrigerator to see what to cook for dinner. Took out Brandon's baby food for lunch, Apple and Pear. Cut coupons from the Sunday newspaper (pic #2). My dining area and kitchen are in the same room. So all the while I was doing these chores, I was chatting with MIL.
In the dining area:
1120am: MIL left. Read a book with Brandon. Let him played with his blocks and Caterpillar, Alphabet Pal (pic #3). I went to make his milk - 5oz.
1130am: Fed him milk and he drank 3oz. Burped him.
1145am: Fed him half jar of Stage 2 Beechnut Apple and Pear baby food (pic #4). Poured 1oz of his leftover milk into a new bottle and mixed with 1oz water. He drank all the 2oz of liquid.
1155am: Placed him in his activity center. Washed his bottles, bowls, spoons, bibs and wash clothes.
In the bedroom:
12pm: Changed his diaper.
In the living area:
1215pm: Carried him and exercised his neck on the bouncing yoga ball while watching Sesame Street. He enjoyed about 10 mins of the show and he started fussing. Turned on the TVB series and he fell asleep in 5mins.
In the dining area:
1230pm: Put him back on the swing to continue sleeping (pic #5).
In the kitchen area:
1235pm: I warmed my lunch, some leftover carrot and pork porridge (I made for Brandon yesterday) with a half piece of bbq miso seasoned chicken breast which was from last night dinner.
In the living area:
1245pm: Ate my lunch while watching the TVB series.
In the study room:
1pm: Checked emails. Typing this blog up to this sentence.
In the dining area:
140pm: Brandon woke up smiling (pic #6). Played and read books with him (pic #7).
2pm: Put him in the activity center. Washed his bottle and my lunch dishes. Read Sunday newspaper.
In the bedroom:
220pm: Tummy time on bed. Played peek-a-boo while I was picking out his change of clothes for tonight.
Outside house:
240pm: Went to MIL's house to visit Brandon's paternal grandpa & grandma for 1 hour.
In the dining area:
340pm: Came home and fed 6oz milk. Burped.
In the bedroom:
350pm: Changed his diaper.
In the living area:
4pm: Exercised his neck on the bouncing yoga ball while watching TVB Series. Fell asleep. Continued stretching his neck while he was sleeping.
In the bedroom:
415pm: Carried him into our bedroom (usually I let him sleep on the swing but when the main door open, he wakes up easily by the noise) to continue sleeping.
In the kitchen area:
420pm: Prepared dinner for cooking. Washed rice and got it ready for cooking. Ate half a Mexican papaya.
In the study room:
440pm: Sat down to update this blog. Heard the garage door opened (Hubby's home from work, he goes to work at 6am). He came into the study room, I told him to be quiet as baby was sleeping in the bedroom. He peeked inside our bedroom and said "Not sleeping, eyes big big." I teased Hubby that the noise from the garage door woke him up. Hubby carried him out to the dining room and played with him on the floor mattress.
In the kitchen area:
450pm: Started to cook dinner.
510pm: Dinner was ready.
In the dining area:
515pm: Ate dinner at the dining area while watching Brandon inside the activity center.
530pm: Finished dinner.
540pm: Prepared Brandon's cereal. Fed him cereal. Finished cereal and gave him some water with a little formula. Fed him half jar of stage 2 Apple and Pear, leftover from lunch. Gave him water after finished baby food. Hubby was cleaning dished when I was feeding Brandon dinner.
Outside house:
610pm: Took Brandon out on his umbrealla stroller around the block (pic #8).
In the dining area:
620pm: Came home. Brandon inside his activity center while his Daddy watching.
In the bedroom's bathroom:
630pm: Flossed and brushed teeth. Took my shower. Put on face moisturizer and combed hair.
In the dining area:
645pm: Prepared to give Brandon his bath. Washed his face with a separate bowl of water while on the floor mattress. Hubby accidentally knocked down the bowl when transferring Brandon into his tub. Wet the floor mattress and floor. While hubby was cleaning up, I bathed Brandon.
655pm: Wrapped him in his towel and brought him into our bedroom since the floor mattress was wet.
In the bedroom:
7pm: Dressed him up and let him played on the bed (pic #9) while I applied lotion on myself (weather too dry here so I have to put lotion daily)
In the study room:
720pm: Checked emails, checked any good deals. Continued this post until I heard Brandon laughing out loud (indication of him being tired).
In the living area:
750pm: Carried Brandon to the living on the yoga ball to let him fall asleep (nap time) while watching TVB series.
In the bedroom:
8pm: He fell asleep. Carried him back to the bedroom and let him continue his sleep while Daddy and I watching Prison Break on TV.
830pm: Woke up crying from his sleep. Played with him on the bed WHILE watching TV.
910pm: Fed him 6oz milk and changed diaper. He didn't want to sleep by himself and cried (eyes half closed). Carried him while sitting on the bed, gave him his pacifier and stroked his back for about 5 mins. He calmed down. I laid him down on our bed and he closed his eyes.
In the study room:
930pm: Downloaded today's pictures and edited with Adobe Photoshop.
940pm: Heard baby cried, Hubby took care of that. I heard him giving him some water.
950pm: Stopped crying.
