It's been a month!

This post is a little late but my son was one month old on April 3rd. And this Friday he will be 5 weeks. As any new mother, I am very busy with him.

My Aunt (Kammo) [JoJo's mother] is visiting me. She arrived last Wednesday and will be here until April 15th. Mainly she is here to take care of me and the baby. She is helping me with the cooking now and also carrying the baby when I need a break or to hop online or take a quick bathroom run. It is really helpful to have someone with me in the same household when my husband is still at work. I will miss her when she leaves LA.

My mother in law has been taking my aunt around since I am not well enough to go out yet. Seems like my laceration is still healing and it still hurt sometimes, so I rather stay home and walk less. I was worry about the healing process so I went to see my OB/GYN today and he told me the episiotomy has just healed and to return for another check up and pap smear in two months.

mom2ahsley: i think it torn on the third week but i didn't realize it until it hurt badly last week, then i started to be more careful when walking and sitting down so now is getting better. still not fully recover as I still have to be careful on my movements.

Take good care of yourself, we need some time to recover after labour. If possible, leave all the housework behind first until you're more energetic. Just take care of the baby if there isn't much help around

shoppingmom: thanks, i am already having my hubby doing most of the housework if possible. unfortunately, sometimes he gets tired after work and still have to look after the baby in the evening time, so i have to share some of the household responsibilities with him as well.

ouch ouch ouch...ya better take care of yourself..that's why the old ppl advises for new mothers not to walk around too much...and you definitely cannot squat...take care of your self and enjoy your baby!!!!! every second of it....now that ashley is 10 months old....i miss it when i look back at her old pictures when she was just 1 - 2months old...
