Chinese New Year and the Zodiac sign

Do you know that the Chinese Zodiac sign doesn't change immediately after the 1st day of Chinese New Year (cho yat). I didn't know about it until I read this website. From the explanation, it seems like the change of Chinese Zodiac sign only happen on Feb 4th each year which indicates the start of spring. It doesn't matter if the first day of CNY falls on Jan 29th or Feb 14th.

"In China, the solar calendar of the Bing Xu (fire Dog) year starts on 4th February 2006 at 07:27. In the UK, the new solar year starts on 3rd February 2006 at 23.27. In California USA it would start 3rd February 2006 at 15.27 and if you live in Barcelona you would place your cures at 00.27 on February 4th 2006. " quote from www.fengshuiweb.co.uk

While you are at the website, you can also check out your fengshui for this year. They explain some cures or ways to improve your luck and wealth by placing certain objects at certain location in your home or office. If you do not have these items readily available at home, you can purchase them from a shop located on the top floor of Midvalley Mall or anywhere else that may sell them cheaper.
