Buying home in UK

I have many friends who stayed back after college in UK. Some I still keep in touch with. One of them recently told me she bought a home and has taken out the home loan from UK Mortgages. She told me it was easy for her to get a quote as she submit it online and a few hours later, an independent advisor called her to speak to her about her loan process. It's about time she owns a home. I've told her to get a home as soon as I became a real estate agent. A home will be one's best investment.
