Hopefully someone knowlegable will come across this post and let me know what is the problem with my Canon SD100. It didn't fall down the floor or being handled wrongly. It was fine yesterday but this morning when I wanted to take pictures of Brandon's lunch, I encountered problem with the image after capturing the picture.
The image has pink horizontal lines all aross the picture from top to bottom. I tried all settings sizes ... they came out the same. But when I tried taking video clip, the video came out crisp and clear. I didn't want to throw away my SD100 and hopefully I can find a fix to this problem myself. It may not be worth it to send it back to the factory to fix because new digital cameras are so cheap now. I've searched around the internet, and I didn't find much about this problem. If any of you got any idea where I should be looking for help or know of this problem, please leave me comment. Thanks.
EDIT (6/17): I emailed Gary's camera repair about my problem and included one of the picture. They are very nice and honest, as they got back to me promptly and telling me not worth to repair as the CCD unit is problem. This is the exact reply I received, "Your camera will require a new CCD unit and may not be economical to repair." They did suggest to contact Canon directly if I do need to get the repair done.

Hey, I had that kind of screen turned up with the dvd player before. I turn it off and on again and it went back to normal. Sorry can't help you with the camera though.
It happened to ours too! According to PB it's the cables inside... connection problems... not sure true or not...
