Brandon's Hair Cut

We gave Brandon his first hair cut for the year last Saturday evening. We seated on him his Baby Bjorn Potty. Hubby's duty was to entertain and keep him busy by using his favorite books and toys, while I did the trimming. I tried to place a plastic around his neck so the hair wouldn't stick to his clothing, but he pulled it away. So we had to just cut it without the plastic.

Initially, I only wanted to give him a little trim by the ears and the back of the neck, but accidentally gave him too much trim on his right side (see picture below) so we gave him a shave instead. He wiggled too much between reading the books, playing toys and also trying to watch I was doing. Well, at least now is so easy to wash and get the hair dry after shampooing.

clockwise from top left: Brandon reading books, his left side trimmed nicely, wooh - lots of hair on the plastic cover, see the trimmer plus sissors?

Accidentally trimmed too much of his left side

All done and ready for bath time

I trim Belle's hair in the shower stall. I find it easier as I can wash her right away.

vien: our shower stall very tight only can fit 1 person inside. old house. got the bath tub too but also very tight.

what happened with the hair afterwards? scoop it up using the drainer?

Hey Anna, your boy looks so cute after the haircut. Wow, his "before" hair looks very thick!

binky, blogging & such: we prefer him with the shorter hair, looks more fresh. actually, i was shocked to see so much hair after the cut. he doesn't have thick hair. may be just long thats why it looked thich.

Wow! Wow! Brandon's haircut is soo nice leh! I don't think I can do it with Darrius at all! I think the crew cut is good as it uses less shampoo and less sweaty smell too!

jazzmint: yea botak! no need to give him another hair cut for a long while. i think can tahan for 4 months.

angeleyes: i can't tell you where to find a place for kid's to have haircut. no indian barber shop like in malaysia.
even for myself, i didn't have any hair cut my last one in kl. so we have to go with home cut for brandon. free and easy.

Wow, you've done very well. Like a professional. I cut my daughter's hair and it always ends up one side shorter than the other!!! ha ha ha .... luckily she's got curly hair so it isn't always too obvious. And I've kept her fringe long so no need to cut!!! Once, a long time ago, I cut it too short ... poor child!

vien: hmm i c.

just a mummy: girl's hair is harder becos we needed to keep them long and even (lucky your girl got curly hair, must be very cute & pretty). boy's hair easier to cut. if trimmed too short, then cut botak. like what happened to us.

grace: no choice lar, have to become a pro. my hubby's mom still cut his hair. i think i may end up doing that. mom+barber.

zara's mama: short - easy to maintain. it will grow back.

nicole: thanks for stopping by my blog. difficult to cut hair for him becos he very busybody want to see the sissors. so very difficult to trim. easier to just shave ... even that his was moving a lot.
