Half Day Outing with 2 Babies

It is Northrop Grumman week (Oct 9th-15th) at the Long Beach Pacific Aquarium this week. Employee and one guest are allow to get in for free. Normally, an adult entrance ticket costs $19.95 and for a child (3-11) is $11.95.

Hubby took a day off that day so we could spend half a day at the aquarium and later in the afternoon for Brandon's OT. We arrived at the aquarium around 930am. Brandon slept about 10 mins during the car ride (not too far from our house). Wanted him to continue sleeping in the stroller but he woke up immediately when I was transferring him from the car seat to his stroller.

This place is very interesting if is your first time there. But since it was not our first time, we just browsed thru the exhibits and only stopped at nicer ones to let Brandon see see. If you are interested to find out more about this aquarium, you can visit their website: Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific. We spent about 1.5 hr walking around the two levels building. Hubby also touched a few sharks (small ones) and some stingrays.

We also got to view their biggest exhibit during the feeding session. Three divers went into the BIG aquarium to feed the different type of fishes. One feeds the smaller fishes, one feed the stingrays and the last one feeds the bigger fishes. Usually, the diver will talk to the viewers during the feeding session but that day the communication system wasn't working correctly so we just stood there and looked at them feeding.

We took lots of pictures but my Photoshop isn't working correctly so I will have to post the pictures for the aquarium later.

After leaving the aquarium, we took a stroll by the pier area. The walkway was a little bumpy but it put Brandon to sleep in less than 5 mins. We continued to walk around the restaurant area and later decided to have lunch while Brandon was still sleeping. Hubby suggested we go to Gladstone's. Will let the pictures below tell our lunch story.

Wow! Brandon can sleep, huh? If it's my Belle, her eyes will be open big big. Want her to sleep in her car seat is also a struggle.

vien: he was tired becos he only slept 10 mins earlier during the car ride and stayed awake during the rest of the time in the aquarium. brandon likes to sleep in the car seat, especially when the car is moving.

hi there!
Was referred by Vien so thought I drop you a few lines.

I'll be going to LA next week and need to get some idea where to shop for food for my son. We intend to bring his diapers from M'sia but if there's a sale we might want to forgo lugging these heavy stuff along. My trip is about 2.5 weeks only so I don't need that many pieces...

Maybe you can email me ramblingmoo@gmail.com

Thanks!
